Risk is at the heart of my practice.

I paint without trying to control everything. Each gesture carries within it the potential to tip the balance of the work, to strengthen it or destroy it. It is precisely in this uncertainty that I find the impetus to create.

My paintings are built on a fragile balance between intention and accident, between what resists and what yields. For me, painting is accepting not knowing exactly where one is going.

The works take shape through an accumulation of gestures, tensions, and erasures. The gesture precedes the idea and guides intuition. They do not seek to represent reality, but to bring forth states: unstable presences, fragments that appear and then disappear.
