Alex has been taking photographs for roughly 19 years. He picked up his first digital camera at 15, inspired by skateboarding photography. Drawn to shaping light through flash photography, he shifted his focus to editorial photography. A few years later he started a
photo-a-day project to sharpen his eye and build a portfolio.
These days he shoots mostly street photography--travel and everyday city life--trying to catch the beauty in moments people usually ignore.
Some of his current inspiration: Vivian Maier, Gregory Crewdson, Paul Leitner, Tara Fallaux, Joannie Lafrenière and many, many others.

He also recently started a
YouTube channel to develop his storytelling and cinematography, and is working on a few short-film screenplays he plans to self-fund in the coming years.
